The Client: Twinings

The Challenge: To promote the sale of Twinings Earl Grey tea. The copy is designed for traditional print and billboard advertising.

Solution: Print media stands out to modern audiences accustomed to fast moving digital media. They are not able to make the ad disappear by scrolling when its in a magazine or a poster. This provided the opportunity to be more inventive with the project.

Creating a vivid mental image captures the viewer’s attention. It helps them to picture themselves enjoying the promoted product. Earl Grey tea is very mild. It is one of my favourite tea varieties and I gave much thought to what makes Earl Grey one of my daily staples. I used the mildness of the tea as a vehicle to encourage the idea of the blend as a unique experience. An experience that a worthy set of taste buds would enjoy and respect.
